I found this great link to a web cam at Tembe National Elephant Park, thinking I would quickly check it out, I ended up spending the next half hour lost in a different world. At 7am the pan was already teaming with life, and two huge rhino were lazily wading through the water.
You must have your headphones on, the sounds bring it all to life and it almost felt I was sitting right there sipping my early morning coffee out in the African bush.
Well done Tembe. They are located in the north east corner of South Africa near the Mozambique border, and the most active time for elephants at the watering hole is between 11am and 3pm.
The photos of these tuskers are also nicked off the Tembe site, and were taken by Wayne Matthews.
